Piano/guitar driven power rock ballad with powerfully passionate performances done in a timeless, contemporary classic rock style

After the passing of dear friend former lead singer of our band "RTZ," I needed to write a song that describes my friendship with Brad. I also wanted to describe the way we all felt as a band and were getting through the sad loss of our dear friend Brad. "Set The Songbird Free" is our way of telling Brad that we respect and love him enough to give him the peace that he needed.

Songbird Quicktime Movie is all of us during the making of this song and is by Tim and Cyndi Archibald.

Songbird drawing is by Terri O'Soro.

Set The Songbird Free

Posted on Sep 11, 2008 by Janine Bechtel

Rating: 5 out of 5

As a long time biggest supporter of RTZ, I found this to be probably the most beautifully, well-written accomplishment of the band! Such a fitting tribute to such a fantastic musician and human!
Still listening and loving RTZ,
Janine
